The Appeal of Cura
Cura, on the other hand, is free, continually updated with fantastic features, and boasts a user-friendly interface. It’s particularly praised for its ease of use. You can quickly set up your prints and access numerous options. For those starting in the world of 3D printing, Cura is a great choice. The interface is intuitive, and it offers a seamless experience.
Why do we use Simplify3D? It’s all about control. We like to fine-tune our prints and optimize them to our exact specifications. Simplify3D allows us to start from scratch, adjusting parameters like nozzle width, layer height, and more. We even have precise control over when the cooling fan kicks in and at what intensity. It’s a workaround that can be quite technical, but we hope that Cura will address this in the future.
