This ensured the adapter met stringent safety standards, including the UL94 V-0 flame rating, crucial for aviation applications.

Installing and Testing

With the adapter complete, installation was straightforward. The new lights fit snugly into the tail section, secured with stainless steel screws. During a test flight at dusk, the improved visibility was undeniable. The ultra-bright LEDs made the helicopter stand out against any backdrop, enhancing safety during formation flying and solo operations.

The use of CF PEEK highlights the importance of material selection in aviation. This material is not only flame-resistant but also produces minimal smoke and toxicity, aligning with FST (Flame, Smoke, Toxicity) ratings critical for aerospace applications.
